Q: What is the max reach of 10G ZR? A: 80km on Single Mode Fiber.

Q: Does this require an EDFA amplifier? A: No, it is designed for unamplified 80km point-to-point links.

Q: Is dispersion compensation needed? A: For full 80km links, fiber quality matters. It has internal dispersion tolerance, but very old fiber may need DCM.
