Next-generation Active Electrical Cables (AEC) are designed to overcome the reach and bulk limitations of standard copper in 800G and 1.6T networks. Featuring integrated retimer technology (DSP) inside the connector heads, Vitex AECs clean and re-time signals to allow for thinner (30AWG) wire gauges and longer distances than passive DACs, ensuring zero bit-error-rate performance for high-density AI clusters and hyperscale switching.
